This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and disclose personal information in connection with our digital products and services, including but not limited to our mobile applications: Learn Chinese, Learn Japanese, AI Image Prompts, Learn AI, and Nihongo Interview. Nihongo Interview helps users practice spoken answers to Japanese interview and JLPT-style questions. Because of how the app is built, its data practices differ from our other products in some important ways:

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To operate, maintain, and improve our applications and services
• To respond to inquiries, provide customer support, and fulfill service requests

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Tech Bato does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: With authorized processors (such as Google, Microsoft) who assist in operating our services under contractual data protection obligations.
• Group Companies: Between our affiliated entities (JFTGURU, WPleakh, NEPSE AI, Tech Bato Labs) for integrated service delivery.
• Legal Compliance: When required by law, court order, or governmental authority in Nepal or other applicable jurisdictions.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of company assets, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Anonymized and aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely for business intelligence purposes.

For Nihongo Interview specifically, since all app data (progress, bookmarks, streaks, preferences) is stored only on your device, uninstalling the app permanently deletes that data. Because we hold no copy of it on any server, there is no separate server-side deletion request to make for this data.

8. Your Rights & Choices

• Access & Correction: You may request access to or correction of the personal data we hold about you.
• Deletion: You may request deletion of your personal data, subject to our legal retention obligations.
• Opt-Out of Personalized Ads: You can reset or limit your advertising identifier via Settings → Google → Ads on Android, or via Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on iOS. On iOS, you may also decline tracking directly in the App Tracking Transparency prompt shown the first time an app requests it.
• Opt-Out of Analytics: You may disable Firebase Analytics data collection by adjusting in-app settings where available.
• Microsoft Clarity: You may use browser privacy settings or a content blocker to prevent Clarity session recording on our web properties.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services, including Nihongo Interview, are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete it promptly. Parents or guardians who believe their child has submitted personal information may contact us at legal@techbato.com.np.

10. AI-Generated Content & Our Product Applications

Several of our products — including JFTGURU, JFTGURU AI, AI Image Prompts, Learn AI, and other applications currently in development — incorporate AI-generated or AI-assisted content. The following applies to all such products:

• JFTGURU: A platform providing job-focused test preparation and career guidance content. Usage data such as quiz responses, test scores, and session activity may be collected to personalize your experience and improve content quality.
• JFTGURU AI: An AI-powered extension of the JFTGURU platform offering intelligent recommendations, adaptive assessments, and AI-generated study content. This app may process your input queries and performance data to generate personalized outputs. AI-generated content is provided for informational and educational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice.
• Upcoming Products: Tech Bato continues to develop new applications and platforms. This Policy will apply to all future products published under the Tech Bato brand. We will update this Policy when new products that involve data collection are released.
• AI Content Disclaimer: Content generated by our AI-powered applications is produced algorithmically and may not always be accurate, complete, or up to date. We do not collect or store the specific content of your AI interactions beyond what is necessary for service functionality, crash diagnostics, and quality improvement.
• No Training on Personal Data: We do not use your personal information to train third-party AI models without your explicit consent.

11. Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
